What is the meaning of Weidao

WeiDao:”Wei”, the big rope,means keep. “Dao”,road or path. The name of “WeiDao” means that the Qi of GB 26 continues to travels along the Gallbladder Meridian route. The substance of this point is the meridian water of the ground from GB 27(Wushu) point. The Qi of Gallbladder Meridian in the GB 25(Jingmen),GB 27(Wushu) and Gb 28(Weidao) points actually travel along the path of GB 26, and only after this point it returns to the Gallbladder Meridian,so this point is as if keep the circulation of Qi  in the Gallbladder Meridian,hence the name.
