GB 25 Acupuncture Point(Jingmen) belongs to the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang,which is commonly used for abdominal distension, abdominal pain, bowel, diarrhea, low back pain, and nephritis. Puncture 0.5 to 1 cun straight.

What is the meaning of Jingmen
Jingmen:”Jing”, the capital,this means the substance of this point is located in the upper part of the ground. “Men”,the door. The name of “Jingmen” means that the cold water-qi of the lower part of the heaven gathers here. The substance of this point is the cold water-qi from GB 24(Riyue) point. After reaching this point, the cold water-qi will further dissipate and cool down and become cold cloud-qi of the lower part of the heaven,like the gathering place that the cloud-qi of the upper of the ground.hence the name.
