What is the meaning of Neiting
Neiting:”Nei” Inner,”Ting”, the courtyard. The name of “Neiting” means that the Qi of the heaven of the stomach meridian cools down here. The substance of this acupoint includes both the meridian water of the ground from ST 43(Xiangu) and the dampness-qi of the heaven from ST 45(Lidui) acupoint. The meridian water flows to ST 45(Lidui) point, and the dampness-qi of the heaven quickly dissipates and cools down to the ground water what is confined in this point.The Qi generated in the stomach meridian and return to the stomach meridian,as if movement in the courtyard, hence the name.

Massage therapy
- Use the pad of thumb to push ST 44 up and down with appropriate intensity,which can treat mouth ulcers, nose bleeding and other symptoms if long-term massage it.
- When nose bleeding, raise your head immediately, pat your forehead dozens of times with your palm, and then lightly press DU 24(Shenting) with your middle finger for about 1 minute, then use both index fingers to press LI 20(Yingxiang) for 1 to 3 minutes, and finally press ST 44(Neiting) for 3 minutes,which can relieve these.
- Most of bad breath, stomach acid, and constipation caused by stomach fire, usually press ST 44(NeiTing) acupoint with the pad of your thumb for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until feeling soreness,which can reduce stomach fire.
