What is the meaning of Qihu

Qihu:”Qi”, means that the substance of this point is the Qi of the heaven.”Hu”,refers to a single door, or channel. The name of “Qihu” means that this point is the gateway for the exchange of Qi of Stomach Meridian with the outside. The substance of this point is the meridian water from ST 12(Quepen) point. Because this point is closer to the area of heart fire than above point, the meridian water will be more vaporized and spread to the rest of the body through Stomach Meridian. It is the gateway for the exchange of Qi between Stomach Meridian and outside, hence the name.
