ST 41 Acupuncture Point Location
On the midpoint of the transverse crease of the ankle, approximately level with the tip of the external malleolus, in a depression between the tendons of extensor digitorum longs and hallucis longus.
What is the meaning of Jiexi
Jiexi:”Jie” means to divide; “Xi,Ravine,refer to merdian water.The name of “Jiexi” means that the ground meridian mater of the stomach meridian overflows in all directions from here. The substance of this point is the ground meridian from ST 40(Fenglong) point, After reaching this point, Since the narrow channel of this point, the ground water will overflow in all directions outside the meridian,hence the name.
