In the midpoint of the supraclavicular fossa, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
What is the meaning of Quepen
Quepen: “Que”,broken up. “Pen”,basin. The name of “Quepen” means that the ground water of this point is distributed to various parts of the body. The substance of this point is the ground water from ST 11 (Qishe) point and the overflow Qi of the heaven. After reaching this point, the ground water is spread out, like the overflow of a broken basin with water, hence the name.
ST 12 Acupuncture Point Usage
Cough, wheezing, pelvic pain, fullness chest,throat disorder, scrofula,thyroid disease and other diseases;
Clinical:
1. Respiratory diseases: tonsillitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, pleurisy;
2. Others: diaphragmatic spasm, cervical lymphatic tuberculosis, goiter, shoulder soft tissue disease.
ST 12 Acupuncture Point Therapy
- Use the pad of your thumb to press ST 12(Quepen) acupoint for 1 to 3 minutes each time, once a day in the morning and in the evening,which can effectively treat cough, asthma and other symptoms if long-term massage it;
- Or Sit upright, press the opposite side of ST 12 acupoint with the index finger, relax for 3 seconds after each pressing for 3 seconds, make 20 times with moderate intensity; then knead it in clockwise and counterclockwise for 1 minute each.
Note:Pregnant not allowed to massage it, which may will lead to miscarriage.

Combined with Feishu, Hegu, Dazhui, Fenglong, Zhongfu, Yunmen, Taiyuan point to treat cough and asthma.
Combined with Xinshu, Ganshu, Juque, Jiuwei, Taixi point to treat hemoptysis caused by yin deficiency and lung heat.
Combined with HeGu, ShaoShang, ChiZe point to treat swelling and sore throat caused by heat evil.
Combined with Tianding, Jianyu,Jugu,JingJiaji point to treat stiff neck, neck palsy, shoulder palsy, etc.
