What is the meaning of Gongsun
Gongsun:Gongsun, the generation of grandfather and grandson, refers to the relationship between the Qi of point and the soil of Spleen. The five elements of Spleen Meridian belong to soil, its father is fire, its garandfather is wood, its son is gold, and its grandson is water. The name of “Gongsun” means that the substance of this point is the converge Qi of Spleen Meridian and Chong Channel turns into the dampness-qi of the heaven. The substance of this point comes from two aspects, one is Qi of the heaven from SP 3(Taibai) point, and other is the high temperature water-qi of Chong Channel from the pores of the ground.hence the name.
SP 4 Acupuncture Point usage
- Spleen and stomach diseases: stomach pain, abdominal pain, borborygmus, vomiting, loss of appetite, bowel, hiccups, dysentery, diarrhea.
- Cardiothoracic disease: upset, chest distress, chest pain.
- Others: such as insomnia, sleepiness, madness, edema, irregular menstruation, uterine bleeding, intestinal bleeding, foot tarsal pain, numbness of the toes and other diseases.
