SP 18 Acupuncture Point(Tianxi) belongs to the Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin,which is commonly used for chest pain, cough, acute mastitis,hypogalactia, puncture obliquely or flat pierce outward 0.5 to 0.8 cun.

What is the meaning of Tianxi
Tianxi:”Tian”,refers to the heaven.”Xi”, path. The name of Tianxi means that the Qi of the heaven of this point go upward along the Spleen Channel. The substance of this acupoint is the dampness-qi from SP 17(Shidou) point, which continuously absorb heat during reaching this point,and it goes up to the upper part of the chest along the Spleen Meridian, hence the name.

SP 18 Acupuncture Point Therapy
Massage therapy
- Press and rub SP 18(Tianxi) point with the pad of your thumb for 1 to 3 minutes each time.It can promote lactation and prevent from mastitis if long-term massage it.
- Massage SP 18(Tianxi) point with your thumb from outside to inside in a circular motion, and gently press it on the left and right sides at the same time before and after bathing or before going to bed,which is helpful for breast enlargement.
Moxibustion Therapy
Moxa moxibustion on SP 18(Tianxi) point for 5 to 15 minutes, or 3 to 5 unit.

Combined with Danzhong point to treat chest pain.
