3 cun above SJ 4 point between the radius and ulna on the radial side of the extensor digitorum muscle on the SJ 4 and tip of the olecranon line.
What is the meaning of Zhigou
Zhigou:”Zhi”,branch,”Gou”, ditch. The name of “Zhigou” means the qi of San Jiao Meridian absorb heat and diffuse here. The substance of this point is the Yang-qi from SJ 5 point(Waiguan), which has less water. After reaching this point, it expands and dissipates into high-pressure qi due to further heat absorption. This Qi of San Jiao Meridian go upward and outward, and the spreading Qi is like the branching of tree, hence the name.
