What is the meaning of Houxi
Houxi:Hou,opposite to the front,refers to the part of the body where the qi flow in the acupuncture points is the back part of the Governor Vessel Channel.Xi, refes to the path of qi in the acupoint. The name of Houxi refers to the Qi in the acupoint travel outside of the back part of the Governor Vessel Channel. The substance of this acupoint is the damp and hot qi from the Qiangu acupoint. After reaching the acupuncture point, the Qi spreads upwards to the Governor Vessel Channel.Hence the name.
