What is the meaning of Youmen

Youmen:You,refers to the long and secret or dark passage.men,refers to the door. The name of “Youmen” means that a little of cold dampness-qi of Chongmai of the kidney meridian will move upwards after absorbing heat here. The substance of this point is the cold dampness-qi from the Futonggu point.After reaching this point,only a small part of the dampness-qi moves upward through the meridian, and the Chongmai Qi of kidney meridian changed from cold and wet to warm and hot, hence the name.

Indications:Gastrointestinal diseases such as: abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea, dysentery, etc.
