What is the meaning of Shiguan
Shiguan:Shi,refers to the water of the kidney. Guan,refers to the gate. The name of “Shiguan” means that the Chongmai qi of kidney meridian is coldly descend to ground water. The substance of this acupoint is the water dampness-qi from Shangqu acupoint. After reaching this point, it dissipates heat and cools down to the ground water liquid. The ground water liquid cannot go up here, hence the name.
