With the elbow flexed, between the ulnar end of the cubital crease and the medial epicondyle of the humerus.
What is the meaning of Shaohai
Shaohai:Shao,yin,refers to water,hai,sea, refers to large. The name of “Shaohai” means that the water-qi of ground meridian of heart meridian merges with the acupoint. The substance of this point is the combination of the cold rain from HT 2 point(Qingling) and the descending blood-qi from Jiquan acupoint,the water-qi is as large as the sea, hence the name.

- Psychiatric nervous system diseases: neurasthenia, schizophrenia, headache, dizziness, trigeminal neuralgia, intercostal neuralgia, ulnar neuritis, ulnar nerve palsy.
- Respiratory system diseases: tuberculosis, pleurisy.
- Motor system diseases: stiff neck, forearm numbness and soft tissue disorders around the elbow joint, elbow and arm contracture, paralysis of the lower limbs.
- Others: angina pectoris, lymphadenitis, boils, acute hyoid muscle paralysis or atrophy,etc.

Massage therapy
Use the middle finger to press Shaohai point for 5 minutes each time, twice a day to treat symptoms such as sweating, heartache and upset.
Other:
Colitis: Combined with Wailing, etc., is beneficial for relieving colon spasm for spastic colitis.
Toothache:Use the tip of thumb to press Shaohai point appropriately for 1 minute.It can relieve toothache.
Moxibustion therapy
Moxibustion on Shaohai point for 10 to 15 minutes,or 3 to 5 unit.

Combined with Neiguan, Shenmen and Daling point to treat hysteria.
Combined with Hegu and Neiting to treat toothache and gum swelling and pain.
Combined with SI 3(Houxi) is beneficial for relaxing the tendons and collaterals and promoting blood circulation,to treat hand tremor, elbow and arm pain.
Combined with Tianjing is beneficial for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis to treat scrofula.
