What is the meaning of Waiqiu

Waiqiu:”Wai”,outside, outside of Gallbladder Meridian.”Qiu”,hill. The name of “Waiqiu” means that the dust of spleen that rises with the wind-qi of Gallbladder Meridian floats outside of Gallbladder Meridian here. The substance of this acupoint is hot wind-qi from GB 37(Guangming) acupoint. After reaching this acupoint, the hot wind-qi is weak, and cools down. The dust of spleen that rises with the hot wind-qi spreads outside of Gall Meridian, hence the name.
