What is the meaning of Yangjiao
YangJiao:”Yang”, Yang-Qi,”Jiao”,Intersection.The name of “Yangjiao” means that the ascending Yang-Qi of th heaven of Gallbladder Meridian intersect here. The substance of this point is the hot wet wind-qi from GB 36(Waiqiu) point. After reaching this point, this Qi absorb heat and expand to become Yang-Qi of the heaven, and intersect with the spreading Yang-qi of the heaven from BL 58(Feiyang) point of Bladder Meridian. hence the name.
