What is the meaning of Fengshi

Fengshi:”Feng”,wind,refers to wind-qi.”Shi”,city or marketplace.The name of “Fengshi” means that the Qi of Gallbladder Meridian shrinks and turns into dampness wind-qi due to heat dissipation. The substance of this acupoint is from GB 30(Huantiao) point. After reaching this point, the cold water-qi will further dissipate and condense and become dampness cloud-qi of the heaven,and it is transported laterally from the heaven of this point,like a gathering and distributing place of wind-qi, hence the name.

Massage method

1. Press GB 31(Fengshi) acupoints on both sides with your two middle fingers in clockwise for 1 to 3 minutes, alternating each leg,which can promote blood circulation in lower limbs.

2. Take the standing or side lying position, press GB 31 for 20 to 30 times with the end point of the middle finger of your hand, or take the sitting position and tap it for 30 to 40 times with your thumb.
