Wushu:”Wu”,five, refers to the five direction in east, south, west, north and middle.”Shu”, the pivot, the hinge of the portal, refers to get in and out of Qi of this point. The name of “Wushu” means that the Qi comes in and out to GB 26 here. Although the substance of this acupoint is the meridian water from GB 26, but it not always travels to GB 27. The flow of Qi is affected by different position of the body. When the body is upright, the meridian water of this point is transferred to all parts of the body. When the body is lying flat, it travels along GB 26 to the back of the spine. This point is like the door for the Qi of GB 26 getting in and out from five directions, hence the name.
