GB 23 Acupuncture Point(Zhejin) belongs to the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang,which is commonly used for chest fullness, asthma, vomiting, soreness, hypochondriac pain, axillary swelling, shoulder and back pain. Oblique or flat puncture 0.5 to 0.8 cun.

What is the meaning of Zhejin

Zhejin:”Zhe”,Noir,the flat plate with its function is to prevent the muddy water of the wheels from splashing in ancient times,refers to the Qi of Gallbladder Meridian cool down here. “Jin”,tendons,refers to the Qi of this point is dampness wind-qi. The name of “Zhejin” means that the cold water-qi of Gallbladder Meridian cools down after absorbing dampness here. The substance of this point is the dampness-qi from GB 22(Yuanye) point. After reaching this point, it will descend from the heaven to the ground due to heat dissipation and absorption dampness. The Qi as if splashing muddy water is blocked, hence the name.

1. Chest full and panting.

2. Vomiting and acid regurgitation;

3. Hypochondriac, axillary swelling, shoulder and back pain.
