GB 14 Acupuncture Point(Yangbai) belongs to the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang,which is commonly used for swelling and pain of eye, drooping eyelids, facial paralysis, headache and other diseases,puncture 0.3 to 0.5 cun flat.

What is the meaning of Yangbai

Yangbai:”Yang” means the Qi of the heaven. “Bai”, bright and innocent. The name of “Yangbai” means that the cold dampness-qi of the Gallbladder Meridian expands and dissipates here after absorbing heat. The substance of this point is the dampness of the heaven from GB 13(Benshen) point. Since it continuous absorption of heat during the descending process, the dampness-qi expands and dissipates into the hot wind-qi,and transmitted to various of part of the head before it reaches this point, so the heaven of this points becomes bright and innocent, hence the name.

  • Close your eyes and relax your mind, press Jinming point for 20 times; then use the side of your index finger to scrape Yuyao and GB 14(Yangbai) point for 20 times; finally, rub temples for 1 minute,which can relieve swelling and pain of eye;
  • Place your middle finger on GB 14 point, press and knead it vertically for 1 to 3 minutes,which can reduce wrinkle on the forehead if long-term massage it.
