CV 4 Acupuncture Point(Guan Yuan),aliases Sanjiejiao, Xiaji, Cimen, Dantian, Dazhongji, belongs to Ren Channel,Front-Mu point of the Small Intestine and crossing point of the Ren Vessel and the Three Yin Meridians of the Foot – (Spleen, Liver and Kidney),which is commonly used for asthma due to kidney deficiency, nocturnal emission, impotence, hernia, enuresis,frequent urination,poor urination, hematuria, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, uterine bleeding, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dysentery and functional uterine bleeding, uterine prolapse, neurasthenia, syncope, shock, etc. Puncture 1 to 1.5 cun straight. Moxa moxibustion 7 to 10 unit or 15 to 30 minutes.

What is the meaning of Guanyuan
Guanyuan:”Guan”,gate.The name of “Guanyuan” means that the heavy dampness-qi of Ren Channel is blocked here. The substance of this point is the dampness-qi of the heaven from CV 3(Zhongji). After reaching this point, most of them cooled to the ground, and only a small part of the dampness-qi absorbs heat and goes up. The point is like a gateway to block the heavy dampness-qi going up,hence the name.

The Qi is the dampness-qi of the lower part of the heaven with warm.

CV 4 Acupuncture Point Therapy
Massage technique:
- Take the supine or sitting position, first use your middle finger or index finger to press CV 4 in clockwise for 2 minutes, and then point press it for 30 seconds with feeling a little soreness, which can strengthen yang and increase immunity if long-term massage it.
- Cross and overlap your hands, then place it on CV 4 point, and pushing up and down with slightly harder for 5 minutes each time,which can invigorate the kidney and strengthen yang, regulate qi and blood, strengthen the vitality and replenish qi, and be used for nocturnal emission, impotence, premature ejaculation, low sexual function and other male diseases if long-term massage it.
- Put the index finger and middle finger together, and rub CV 4(Guanyuan) in a clockwise direction for 80 to 100 times,which can relieve lower abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, hernia and other diseases if long-term massage it.

Combined with GuiLai, Baihui to treat uterine prolapse.
